Ways for Anti-wrinkles

Nasolabial folds, Stretch mark, Expression lines

  • Nasolabial folds
The nasolabial folds are also known as 'smile lines' or 'laugh lines' which are the two skin folds that start from the nose to the corners of the mouth. The cause can be familial, frequent facial expressing habit or skin aging. For those who always love to have big smile, the muscle around the corners of the mouth is often 'bunched up' while smiling. Eventually, the two prominent folds will be formed permanently over a period of time. On the other hand, the nasolabial folds become more pronounced when the skin starts to sag due to aging The older a person is, the longer and deeper his/her folds are.
Hyaluronic acid is part of our skin tissues, so it is safe to be used without causing any residual. The effect is instant, yet it can only last for 4-6 months. Even if you don't continue with the treatment, the condition will not get worse, and the effect will just fade away gradually and remains the original look. On the other hand, skin tightening treatment (such as Radio frequency (RF)) can be used, in order to tighten and lift up the sagging skin on the cheeks, which helps to eliminate the prominence of the folds.
  • Stretch marks (Striae)
Most women develop stretch marks on the abdomen area from their pregnancies and after delivery. They are caused by the rapid stretching of the skin, which breaks down and destroy the elasticity of the dermis. Depressed scars and dreaded striations are then formed and they are referred to as stretch marks. They can also appear on breasts, buttocks, and thighs. However, not every pregnant woman would have stretch marks, depending on the health condition of the individual. Stretch marks trouble many people as they give a very unpleasant appearance and they are difficult to treat. The best way is to apply higher energy level of laser treatment to diminish the marks as much as possible, not 100% though. One of the best options is using Fraxel re:store, which can help to stimulate the production of new elastin and collagen in the dermis, in order to improve the condition. Doctorˇs consultation is required to determine the number of session for each individual.
