Before the Botox injection, what do you need to know?

Botox is a protein produced by the bacteria Clostridium Botulinum. It blocks certain nerves in order to paralyze certain overactive muscles which cause the expression lines (wrinkles). Before the Botox injection, doctor's consultation must be required, because Botox may not work well on several cases. For example, Botox can improve those eyebags which are related to strong and active undereye muscles, but not those caused by fats, which may require plastic surgery to get rid of.

Other precautions are such as stopping any anti-coagulant medications 2 weeks before the Botox injection; and to make sure there is no inflammation or wound on the injection site. Scheduling your appointment is also important. If you want to do the Botox before any important function or event, make sure you proceed the treatment some time earlier, so that you can achieve the most natural and beautiful look before the date. For example, it is suggested to do the wrinkles removal treatment at least 1 week beforehand; 3-4 weeks for face or legs slimming, etc. Also, in case of any bruising or other skin reaction occur, you still have enough time to get healed and recover before attending the event.
