Is it safe to do mole removal?

In general, mole removal is a simple and safe procedure if it is handled by professional doctor. Doctor usually uses Carbon Dioxide laser (with wavelength 10600nm) to remove the mole tissues layer by layer. However, if the size of the mole is too big and if the lesion is raised, it may require surgical removal. It is better to consult the doctor first if you want to get your mole removed.

Mole removal is also a very common treatment in many beauty salons. One of the ways they do it is by dropping some concentrated solution to the spot, to 'dissolve' the unwanted mole. There is a risk of burning if it is handled carelessly or if the handling person is lack of medical knowledge. The CO2 laser used by doctor is easy to control and it can accurately remove the unwanted tissues. Even if the mole is located near the eye area, it can still be safely done by the laser. Before the laser treatment, some local anesthetic cream will be applied on the treated spot, in order to minimize the discomfort during the treatment. After the mole removal treatment, you just need to follow doctorˇs instruction and apply some topical for the wound healing at home. It should be recovered within a week of time.
