Wrinkles

Wrinkles appear when the skin starts to age and the skin has excessive UV exposure. The firmness of skin disappears due to the loss of collagen and wrinkles are formed eventually. Other factors such as smoking, lack of sleep, hormonal disorder and unhealthy living habit will cause the formation of wrinkles appear sooner.

There are two types of wrinkle:

1. Dynamic Wrinkle:
   is also named as "Motion wrinkle" which is formed during facial expression. For instance, when you frown, the forehead muscles will contract automatically and the "Forehead line" will be formed.
2. "Static Wrinkle":
   continuous occurrence of "Dynamic wrinkle", skin ageing problems, over-exposure of sunlight or life stress. There is gradual loss of collagen support due to ageing and the aged- skin will lose its elasticity, it will cause shallow and hollow wrinkles eventually. Since "Static Wrinkle" is obvious all the time, it will give an impression of tiredness. Nasolabial folds appear at cheek is the commonest “Static Wrinkle”.

How to tackle with Dynamic Wrinkles:

Botulinum Toxin injection:
Doctor will inject appropriate dosage of Botulinum Toxin in the treated area, it is a way to reduce the muscle contraction and lessen the dynamic wrinkles. Botulinum Toxin is a commonly used substance in medical field and the ones we use in our Centre are all FDA approved. The doctor will apply the right dosage of injection to avoid any unnatural and distort outlook of clients.

Attention:

It is expected to see the effect on the Botulinum Toxin injection around 1 week and the effect will normally last for around 4-6 months. Your Dynamic wrinkle will only restore to your original condition and will not be worsen or increase even you stop the injection. When you have the second injection, the effect normally will last longer than the first injection. There is no proven long-term side effect for repeated injection.

Botulinum Toxin injection not only can help to improve the problems on wrinkles but also for improve for face and body contouring and resolve the imperfection.

Precaution:
