Melasma
Also named as "Chloasma" or "Mask-of-Pregnancy", the kind of pigment is often appearing on the middle-aged females. The pigment usually appears as a patch on cheeks, upper lips, nose and forehead. The occurrence of Melasma is related to hormones change but it is not a medical sickness. Melasma is likely to appear on females during their pregnancy or menopause period but males also have chance to get it. Another factor of Melasma would be the stimulation of the UV light. It is very important for the Melasma sufferers to avoid sun exposure as much as they could.
Treatment:
- Dual Laser Treatments:
Using two different lasers with specific wavelengths to target different levels of pigments to achieve the most optimal result. - Topical Medication:
Using prescribed medication could help to enhance the whitening effect. A thin layer of topical would be enough when apply. If there is severe itchiness and redness after application, you should stop for 1-2 days and re-apply after.
Attention:
To maximize the treatment result, clients should avoid any sources which directly affect the pigmentation, such as stress, insomnia, UV light and hormonal medication, etc.
